Senior Professional Primary Purpose: To provide management reports, analysis, and recommendations to ensure that the appropriate balance of computer hardware expenditures, user service levels, and hardware upgrade schedules is maintained to support the information processing needs of BB&T. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Act as primary coordinator of all resource planning activities, including but 30% not limited to: Collect planning information from client and application development management. Ensure ongoing performance of resource planning functions. Participate in hardware acquisition planning processes. Provide regular production of resource planning report series. 20% Provide regular production of workload analysis and resource utilization reports. 20% Review workload characteristics of current applications; use modeling 20% tools to predict future resource requirements; develop future forecasts. Develop capacity forecasts and recommendations to ensure proper 10% utilization and growth capability of computing infrastructures. Other duties as assigned. Varies Required Skills and Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree, either in MIS-related field or in business or formal technical training with equivalent work experience or equivalent education and related training. Ten (10) years large-scale systems environment. Experience working directly with both technical and non-technical personnel on business planning issues. Strong understanding of statistical analysis and modeling techniques. Ability to translate high-level business planning information into technical information, and vice versa.
